Last year, I got my first taste of the NJ State Fair Homebrew Competition- literally. Originally signed up to steward, the judge coordinator reached out and asked if I would be willing to judge. Chinook head to Krogh's
Not before they went to the fair! Last year, the Chinook were ready to be harvested while the fair was happening. It worked out perfectly as fair-goers who stopped by our display got to see us picking cones. Many were surprised to see how long the bines were. The cones were dried and brought over to Krogh's Brewpub in Sparta, NJ; eventually making their way into a tasty IPA.
